About the artist:
Hailing from the mighty hills of Y.O (Yonkers) ... Comes the rap icon named Geolani.
His mainstream mission is to hold it down for Y.O to the fullest. The proof of his devotion to
his beloved city can be seen in the "IN THE HOOD" section of the June 98' issue of "THE SOURCE
MAGAZINE (Hillside)". His music speaks with a voice seasoned with experience, yet vibrant with
energy from and for the streets. This is shown on blazing tracks such as "FIX YA FACE", a bouncy
song with catchy chorus gauranteed to have every click in every hood breaking they necks as they
mimick the phrase Fix Ya Face, and "I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE" in which Geolani simply states
his girl is a rider and he ain't going anywhere. Geolani can be heard on his up and coming
album titled "STREETZ, CLUBZ & CURRENCY", where he has already completed 8 hot tracks
with producers such as Eric Sermon, Liveson (D-Block), Nick Wiz (Rakim), J-Blend, and in-house
producer Track Feanz. With no major budget, just on his drive and lyrical skills, Geolani is
recognized by some of the hottest producers in the game today.
In 1999 Geolani migrated to Washington DC with partner and fellow rapper Kastro,
which together formed the group Hillside Connect, and just two years later formed an indie
label called AFFILLIATED THE LABEL with friend and artist Ransom Rellic. A personal move
for Kastro to Puerto rico to work on what is called Reggaeton (spanish rap) left Geolani
working on a solo project, and left Hillside Connect on the back burner. Eight songs into
his album Geolani has no regrets (on being solo) and loves being able to create what
he calls fire. With a mind set and non-stop ambition, Geolani and Ransom Rellic put together
the hottest League of talent (appearing on www.latinrapper.com as featured label).
Two female mcees (Coca-Ina - Symantyx), three male mcees (Montega, Brixx, and
16 yr old Tay Roc), two producers (Liveson - Track Feanz), and what is a camp without a
female vocalist (Delilah). Now that the foundation is built and the team is tight,
they have been hitting the lab like Barry Bonds at the plate. Look out for the first
project coming out of Affilliated, which is a compilation from the whole camp, Dropping
Sept. 05' thru Sony-Red Distrubution. Also catch Geolani on over 45 mixtapes that are
in the streets now. With the right marketing and major push behind him, Geolani is
gauranteed to make a statement and make a place for his name.
"I Don't wanna be considered a fly by night artist or one hit wonder, i'm here to prove
that i got what it takes for longevity." Remember the name GEOLANI ....
